The California Advanced Primary Care Initiative brings stakeholders together to increase investment in and access to ‘advanced primary care.’ Through multi-payer alignment and collaboration, the initiative is building and scaling a primary care model that emphasizes comprehensive, team-based and patient-centered care to improve the holistic health of Californians and prevent higher acuity, costlier care.

Our Align. Measure. Perform. (AMP) program is one of the largest value-based healthcare performance improvement programs in the country. AMP uses a common stakeholder-approved measure set and methodology to create clear performance benchmarks and reward high-performing providers.

The California Healthcare Cost & Quality Atlas measures care performance across geographies and insurance products. Atlas covers nearly 40% of the state’s population and helps us spot state-wide performance gaps and trends. These insights can lead to better care outcomes and fewer disparities for Californians.

As part of Health Net’s Encounter Data Improvement Program, IHA is coordinating encounter data improvement efforts to advance healthcare equity, quality, and affordability across California. Our work includes providing education and tools to navigate encounter data complexity, developing standardized solutions to encounter data submission challenges, and using reporting to assess provider and health plan performance.
