Along with Cloud Native development on Amazon Web Services (AWS), this position will develop new solutions for our growing data scale. Core job duties and responsibilities:

  • Design and develop software solutions for our data orchestration and healthcare partner portals
  • Coordination with our internal program teams to gather requirements
  • Managing the data updates; writing software to process data and ingest it into our database
  • Troubleshooting existing data pipelines
  • Helping create and automate data analysis reports and visualizations that effectively communicate results to internal and external customers
  • Determine process improvements, best practices, and develop new processes
  • Work in close partnership with cross-functional teams and management
  • Design, develop, modify, implement, and support software components anywhere in the software stack
  • Determine root cause for the most complex software issues and develop practical, efficient, and permanent technical solutions
  • Remain current on new technologies and available vendor packages; evaluate and make recommendations, as necessary
  • Assist in task planning, estimation, scheduling, and staffing


  • BA/BS in computer science or similar STEM discipline
  • 3-5 years relevant experience designing and implementing industry standard architectural solutions
  • Experience in the Health Care industry
  • Experience working with sets of standard performance measures that provide information about the quality of a health plan
  • Experience with clinical software systems or electronic health record (EHR) systems, including certification, management, or maintenance of HITECH, HITRUST
  • Knowledge of industry standard healthcare message specifications, such as HL7, FHIR and EDI X12
  • Proven experience as a Senior Software Engineer
  • Python fluency
    • Reasonable coverage of Python data analysis, database, and visualization libraries
  • Experience with software development best practices (code review, issue management, source control, release management, testing and test infrastructure)
  • Experience modeling data
  • Broad experience designing, programming, and implementing large information systems
  • Ability to provide in-depth evaluation and analysis of unique complex technological issues
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong organization and time management skills

Technology stack:

  • Python, PyData (NumPy, SciPy, Pandas, matplotlib), Django, PostgreSQL, React+Redux, AWS (EC2, S3, RDS, Redshift), Ansible, Tableau, BitBucket Pipelines, Git

Bonus if you have:

  • Master’s degree in Engineering or Mathematics
  • Experience as a Data Engineer
  • Experience with Python server-side applications, especially Django
  • Experience with DAG based orchestration tools
  • Ansible or similar infrastructure as code frameworks
  • Experience with health care performance measurement
